Search engines rank pages. AI answer engines quote them — and they read your page very differently from Google. These five free tools show you what ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews can actually extract from a URL.

I audit websites for a living, and I kept hitting the same wall: pages that ranked fine were invisible to AI answer engines. Nobody could tell me why — so I built the five checks I wanted.
The reason is usually boring. The markup says one thing and the copy says another. The answer is buried three scrolls down in a paragraph no model will lift. The crawler was never allowed in.
Each one runs on a URL in about twenty seconds.
See your page the way an AI does — and find the words it can't see because they only appear after the page finishes loading.

liveRanking and being quoted are two different tests, and passing the first tells you very little about the second.
A search engine only has to decide whether your page belongs on a list. It can hedge: ten blue links, and the reader picks. An answer engine has to commit. It writes one answer and attaches a small number of citations to it, which means it needs a fact it can lift cleanly and attribute confidently. That is a much higher bar, and it fails for reasons that never show up in a ranking report.
The three that come up most often, in the order they usually bite:
The words never arrive. If the substance of your page is rendered client-side, a model working from the raw response sees a shell. Your best paragraph exists for human visitors and not for the machine reading it. How AI Reads Your Page shows you exactly what is left.
The answer is there but not liftable. A model wants a self-contained statement it can quote without inheriting the paragraph around it. An answer that only makes sense after two scrolls of setup is one it will skip in favour of a competitor who said it plainly in one sentence. That is what Answer-Readiness scores.
The page contradicts itself. When your structured data names one entity and your visible copy describes another, the safest thing a model can do is decline to cite you. Entity Clarity looks for that disagreement, and schema markup done properly is usually the fix.
The fourth reason is the least interesting and the most common: the crawler was never allowed in. It costs nothing to check, and the crawler checker does it in one request.

Scan my site — free →SEO is about being ranked. AI readability is about being quoted. A search engine returns a list of links and lets the reader choose; an answer engine writes the answer itself and cites a few sources. Those are different jobs, and they reward different things. A page can rank perfectly well and still be unusable to a model, because the fact it needed was rendered by JavaScript, or buried three scrolls down, or contradicted by the markup. These five tools check the second thing.
Yes, free, and no account. You paste a public URL and get the result on screen. There is a daily usage limit per visitor so the tools stay available for everyone, and nothing is emailed to you unless you ask for it. If a tool helps you, a tip is welcome and entirely optional.
Start with How AI Reads Your Page. It shows you the raw extraction, which is the thing most people have never seen, and it usually explains the other results before you run them. If the extraction already looks wrong, fix that first: no amount of markup helps a page whose words never reach the model.
No tool can promise that, and anyone who does is overselling. What these checks do is remove specific, findable reasons a machine cannot use your page: content it cannot see, an answer it cannot lift, an entity it cannot pin down, a crawler that was blocked at the door. Fixing those makes you easier to quote. Whether that turns into rankings depends on your content and your competition, which no checker can measure.
No. Every result is written in plain English and tells you what was found and why it matters. Some fixes are a copy change rather than a code change. Where a fix is genuinely technical, the result says so plainly instead of pretending it is a five-minute job.
